hi..i had an abortion on the 2nd of September..i started bleeding same day and passing huge clots,i continued to bleed then stopped and was just getting dark discharge again last week i started to bleed again bit heavy with small clots am not sure if its my period coz i didn't get any space in btwn,the blood is sometimes very light colored,mucus like...i have a pimple on my forehead and that is a sighn of periods in me...pliz help how long was the bleeding meant to take and is this my periods now?thanks in advance

I'm assuming you had a surgical abortion, not the abortion pill. If you did have the abortion pill, this sounds completely normal. If you had a surgical abortion, I'm not sure how long you didn't bleed after the procedure. If you have pretty much been bleeding continuously - without more than a few days break, you should go back to the doctor's office for a check up. Typical bleeding after an abortion should be less than 3 weeks. If you stopped bleeding for a few weeks, this sounds normal,like your period. The color of blood sounds normal -sometimes your period can be a little different for the first few periods after an abortion.
