Education/Credentials I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Biology, and am halfway through a Master's Degree, also in Biology. I have access to and read many of the top medical journals, from which I also get the best, most thorough and accurate to answers to pressing medical and health related questions. This equips me with factual, biological information to dispel many myths related to abortion.

Question Hi. I just had this frustrating conversation with a woman who said she didn't care if McCain/Palin were to get elected and decided to outlaw abortion, because if she wanted one she'd find a way to get it. She said there would always be doctors who would have the courage to help women, or women could cross the border etc What do you think? Thanks.
Chrissy
Answer Dear Crissy,
With all due respect to whoever that woman is with whom you spoke, that's a pretty stupid argument. Women will continue to get abortions whether it is legal or not, however, it will be a very dangerous thing to do.
Doctors will not be able OR willing to perform abortions because they will not want to lose their medical licenses and/or go to jail for performing illegal abortions.
Women will resort to back alley pills and poisons, and people (not doctors) using non-sterile instruments, just like they did before Roe vs. Wade was law.
