Question
Hello Danielle,
I really need your advice, im so scared and have nobody to talk to..
I think i'm pregnant but i didnt have sex.
this happened last friday and my period was supposed to start on monday making it over 2 days late.
Im really worried and stressed and i know that the stress might be the reason but my period is never late. I felt something like cramps on Monday, when my period was due but its gone away and i feel like i wont be getting my period now.
in my country its forbidden to get pregnant before marriage and to have an abortion but I have to do so as im not ready to have a baby and my life would be over if anyone of my family found out.
i dont know what pills i can take to have an abortion but i have to do something and i want to do so quickly, as soon as possible.
im so scared and i feel so bad because i didnt have sex and our parts didnt even touch. i dont know why this happening to me, i just want it to end.
Please can you tell me if there are any pills I can take that will stop it, I cant do anything until this over, i cant study or even talk to anyone, its so hard.
please can you help me, I dont have anyone to get advice from

Answer
Hi Sarah :)

Well, you're not pregnant if his penis never came near your vaginal opening. It's extremely normal for a regular period to suddenly switch things up like this-inconvenient, annoying, but normal. Not only can stress delay your period, but a menstrual cycle being EXACTLY the same length each month is more not normal than normal. Can you get ahold of a pregnancy test from a store or a doctor? It would be able to reassure you-although if you've never had any genital contact with someone of the opposite sex, there is NO chance of pregnancy-give yourself a few more days and see if your period comes. You'll be fine :)
