Question Hi, I just had a medical abortion 5 days ago, that is, I took the Cytotec 5 days ago. I passed a grape, then lemon, then a couple small sized clots, and I was 3 weeks pregnant. Can I assume it worked? I'm going in for my follow up in 10 days of course, but I'm just curious. Also, when can I drink alchohol again, and is it okay to take vitamins that include folic acid?

For right now, stay away from alcohol, just fro safety reasons. Drinking it won't put you in danger, but it could decrease your awareness about side effects and thin the blood resulting in extra heavy bleeding. And definitely do not take any vitamins with folic acid.
At your follow up, check with the doctor when it is ok to resume alcoholic consumption and taking vitamins again. Until then, stay away from them for your safety :)
