Answer Dear Kim,
This is completely normal. The abortion pill is generally a very safe method and a good way to end an early pregnancy. However, it does have the side effect of lengthy bleeding afterward. THIS IS NORMAL, and nothing to worry about. Often times it can last for weeks, and sometimes months. More than likely it will start to get lighter, and sometimes it will stop and start, like spotting. This is also normal.
If you are feeling weak, you might take some iron tablets over the counter - one a day should be enough.
You might find it helpful to read my website: earlyabortionoptions.com - it has more information on the abortion pill that you might find helpful.
Kim, there is nothing to be ashamed of. You made a decision that you needed to make. You ended the pregnancy weeks before an embryo developed. You made a responsible decision for you life. Sometimes we all need to make difficult decisions because life is not ideal, and we are looking toward a better life in the future. You can look forward to being married and being excited about having a baby when you are ready.
Good luck to you!
