Question thank you for your help... i still need some general pro-choice views. thank you for your help with the information on RU-486. I also need some statistic... i need anything that tells how many times a day a baby is aborted using RU-486 and really just some startling statics about abortion and the abortion pill
Answer To be honest, I don't think there are statistics for how many times a day, because even when the clinic knows the woman will use the pill, they don't know what day the miscarriage actually happens since she has a few days. And RU-486 doesn't have anything to do with the abortion-just dilating the cervix.
Startling statistics? I can give you some statistics, i just don't know if they're startling or not. I hope they help though. Let's see...Well, abortion is 13 times safer than childbirth, and one of the most common medical procedures. Of teenagers who become pregnant, 35% choose abortion. Half of all pregnancies each year are unintended, and half of those unplanned pregnancies are ended in abortion (1.3 million). 35% of all women of reproductive age in America will have had an abortion by age 45.
Women between 15-19 account for 19% of all abortions, women 20-24 make up 33%, and the last 25% is by women 30 and older. 88% of abortions are done in the first trimester. Less than 2% of abortions are performed at later than 21 weeks.
In 2000, 57% of women had some college education, 57% were from low-income families. 83% of women who get abortions are unmarried, 67% have never been married, and 16% = divorce, widowed, contraceptive.
27% of women who get abortions are Catholic, 13% identify as born-again Evangelical Christians.Half of all women who get abortions used some form of contraceptive. 52% of women have had no previous abortion, and 26% have had 1. 66% of the women plan to have children in their future. About 13, 000 women have abortions each year due to rape or incest.
Only 1% of women soya they felt pressured or forced into the abortion. Relief is by far the most common feeling post-abortion. Psychological distress is much greater before the abortion, if there at all, than after.
Lol was that too much, or what you wanted? Please, let me know if you need different/more info. I'm very happy to help.
