Subject: Abortion
Question I am in a history class doing a discussion about abortion. I am wondering why
do so many people get so mad about why people have abortions? i don't really
know how I stand on this issue. I am a freshman in high school.
Answer Good question. People get consumed by moral issue-related topics, and that can be due to strong religious beliefs or just strong principles that an individual holds.
If, for example, one believes that abortion is taking of a human life, it can seem indignant to an individual that someone would harm another human. Therefore, it's not always a judgmental call, but a human feeling wanting the best for others, just as you would not want harm to come to an adult or child already living outside the womb.
People get worked up too much over some issues, but abortion, since it deals with other people, has understandable high importance.

Thanks for the question.
