Abortion - Pro Life Views/Abortion
Expert: Bill Stephens - 12/8/2009
Question I am doing a project on abortion and pro-life views at my school. I need as much information as humanly possible. Would you please give me as much information on abortion and pro-life as possible?

AnswerI would be glad to help you. So many issues over the past years have gone from being debated to being accepted. People want to be so willing to accept other people's views, but abortion is one issue that is not so much a gray area, but black and white in that if you are pro-life, it is so easy to see that life is already forming and is just at a very young stage while the baby is forming in his/her mother. If abortion is commonplace, what other acts might become commonplace years later, such as infanticide and doctor and healthcare assisted suicides?
Abortion seems like a way for the mother to get her life back on track, but she is penalizing the new life that is forming within her.
Fairness needs to be at every stage of life. Even common courtesy and respect is given at funerals and cemeteries when someone dies. Abortion victims, the babies, do not get that respect.
Abortion, even if someone is pro-choice, has to be seen as a selfish decision, no matter how hard it might be to decide whether or not to bring a baby to full-term and let him or her have a complete life.
I hope this helps.
