Subject: Against Abortion Speech

Question
I'm doing a speech for pro-life, and it's a persuasive speech, so I'm supposed to be against someone. I know most of my facts and I know the information that I need, but I just don't know how to start my speech. Our teacher said that in our essay, it doesn't have to be that catchy, but in our speech, we definitely have to be. I just don't know how I could do it without putting up a picture of a little baby cut up in pieces, because when i found pictures, they were pretty hard to look at. I tried to find stories but I couldn't find many that supported my topic, it all supported the other side.

Answer
My advice: make the opening positive.  Show pictures or create a visual imagery through your words picturing the fascinating world seen by kids (kids riding a bike, playing with puppies, being amazed by the stars, fireworks, etc.  Then relate how many humans will never be able to experience those wonders, due to abortion.
Good luck. I hope it goes well.
