Question Hi Dwayne,
My husband has a rough past with alcohol. Anytime he drinks he gets very violent. A couple weeks ago, it got really bad. He drank way too much and really whaled on me. Both my eyes were black, my left one was swelled shut for 3 days. My nose was bleeding, my lip was bleeding. My face was completely bruised. I am still with him and he promises to never do it again, but I am having a hard time trusting him. He has done this so many times. I love him, but I need some peace. Please Help.
Answer alcohol can affect one's actions or judgment. Even if he's beating you under the influence, it's still physical abuse. No one should be abused.
Give him an ultimatum: either he quits drinking and gets some help or you'll end the marriage. Because no one should be a victim.
