Question I never received your answer...how do I find it?? Or, could you resend it?
Answer alcohol destroys a person's sense of judgement. Often people who get drunk lose control over themselves and their actions and feelings. I don't know why he thinks alcohol can help his problem because I know it can't. Alcohol only causes problems. I know, because in the past my younger brother used to drink a little and he'd sometimes lose his temper. Also, a classmate of his in the past died in a drunk driving accident.
First of all, he needs to cut back on his alcohol consumption. If he doesn't feel ready for sex even if he does quit drinking, respect his decision. Don't force him into anything. Apparently, he's still being haunted by his past experiences of sexual abuse from his step-mother.
A counselor would also help in ways I couldn't possibly.
