I have known my bf for about 10 years he has never even raised his voice at me. The past week he dislocated my shoulder and beat me up. My question is he wants to get help and i was wondering if he can change or should i worry about him doing this again.

any change, except for the worse, is doubtful, unless he commits to long term therapy, but even then you've no guarantee he'll continue it for any length of time; the guy really should have been arrested and jailed for assault; the next best thing is to end it today, stop all communication, or you can hang around in the name of "love" and pray the next time he doesn't kill you...
