Question
I have a brother  he is 50 years old and lives out of country i support him financially. can i claim him as a dependent?

Answer
To claim a dependency exemption for a qualifying child or a qualifying relative, the citizen, national, or resident test and joint return test must be met.

You must have supplied more than 50% of the dependent's income

You must supply a social security number or the deduction will not be allowed.

This is a tax question and should be referred to a tax agency that specialized in preparing tax returns.  You might want to confer with the agency or person that will be preparing your taxes.
