Question
What is the absolute latest you can pay employee's past pay date? If the pay date is the 15th, how many days past pay date,by law, do you have to pay them? In California.

Answer
Is this for a termination or a currently employed employee? I need more information before I can answer this question.

If it is for a termination was it a voluntary or an in voluntary termination (quit or fired?).

Please respond and I will be able to answer your quesiton.
