Question
I recently changed from an hourly non exempt position to a new dept, new job desc that is a salaried exempt position.  They just instituted a new policy that any personnel changes are not eligle for pay increase for 90 days??  SO all they did was change my hourly wage to a salary wage.  My big problem is that with my old job I was accumilating anywhere from 5-10 hours ove overtime a payroll.  Now - I will be required to work the over time- including travel on weekends.  And they aren't giving me any kind of pay increase for 90 days??  I'm fine with it being a salary position with the understanding that I would get a pay increase.  I didn't take the job for the money - just seems like I'm getting the raw end of the deal.

Answer
Welcome to the salaried exempt world. Sometimes we work 50 hours a week and we are not paid overtime.

Generally when you move from hourly to salaried your salary increases to "supposedly" make up for the overtime, but the salary is never as much as the overtime. You should have seen an increase in salary when you took the new position.
