Question
My boss doesn't give me a check stub, I have asked through out the year and still don't get on. Does he have to give me one??? My taxes this year are all missed up do to them only taking 10% out and not 20% like should have done. What all can I do about this??? Im in Texas also if you needed to know that

Answer
The Texas Minimum Wage Act (Sec. 62.003) requires employers to provide an earnings statement to their employees which includes hours worked, rate of pay, total amount of pay for the period and any deductions made from the check and their purpose. However, there is no agency currently charged with enforcement of this provision.

The employer will hold taxes out depending on how your W-4 form is filled out. If you wish more taxes withheld than claim fewer deductions on your W-4 form. Taxes are not held out in percentages. There is nothing you can do this year, but go to payroll and ask to change your W-4 form for 2009. If you wish the most taxes withheld than claim S-0 on the form.
