hi, i run a small business employing 10 persons. presently i do not gather any monthly figures and now really feel that i should.
i am not sure where to start and how much information i need to gather or track and not sure how to track (i.e what type of excel template do i need). Can you help

Your question is quite broad. I am not sure what you are asking exactly.

Are you currently doing bookkeeping work -- categorizing income and expenses from your checks and deposits?  Are you reconciling your checking account?

Monthly accounting is generally needed to be able to understand your income and expenses.

Do you have anyone doing bookkeeping work for you, or your annual income tax return who can assist this with you.
