Question
If the employer business is out of New Hampshire which does not have a state tax but does have to pay UI and he has employees who live in Mass but work in NH  I know that the employee has to be setup to pay mass taxes. Is the employer also responsible to pay mass UI.  Would they file for an UI number?

Answer
It is correct that Mass state taxes must be paid because there are no taxes in New Hampshire. If this were not so than the taxes would be withheld in New Hampshire.

Unemployment tax would be paid in New Hampshire because this is where the work is performed.
