Question
We at Numia, provide free online accounting service for small business. This Free Online Service provides an easy way to keep users accounts information online with reliable and secured data transfer. What i wanna know is why do people go for paid service, when ppl like us provide the same for free. We provide the same service as that of other leading online accounting service.
I just wanna know how to get the targeted customers. And how to promote my site.

Answer
Small business owners are reluctant to do business with someone they cannot meet in person.  Even after having met a bookkeeper, many small business owners are relucatant to have someone work on their accounting records over the internet.

As for offering a service for free, most people would ask why this is the case. No one can survive by always giving away their services. Accordingly, I would ask "what's the catch." Why is this for free?

Finally, I see your business is located in India. People are reluctant to do business with someone overseas, especially given the possibility of some kind of internet scam, not knowing who you are or anything about your business.

I think you need to focus on who your target audience is and how to overcome the objections I have described.
