Accounting, Payroll & Pension Issues/AT&T Pension

Question
I worked for AT&T for 11 years ending in 1989 and should be eligible for a vested pension when I retire.  The company has gone through many changes since then. How do I find out what I may be entitled to?

Answer
There is no simple answer. I suggest contacting the human resources department of the current AT&T. Hopefully, they can give you info or at least an idea of who to contact.

Separately, when you apply for Social Security benefits, the Social Security Administration will give you information about any pensions due you. However, the listing will refer to the company and plan that is to provide the pension. Hopefully, it will give you enough info for you to follow up.

Good luck.
