Accounting, Payroll & Pension Issues/State Pay Stub Delivery Requirements

Question
We have had some difficulty in locating concrete definitive documentation of requirements by state concerning the delivery of pay stubs, specifically related to which states require a pay stub to be printable by the employee. Various payroll vendors have slightly different interpretations of guidelines and I need to find the official sources for this reference.  Any direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
The only real official source would be to go to the actual state website and find the information out for each state.

I use the APA "Guide to state payroll laws". It has always guided me in the right direction and has each states pay statement requirements.
