I just found out the other day that my job was taking money from my check for 401k but not sending it to the plan what can i do and who can i contact in government about this it has been going on for the last 6 months

Answer
You can contact the local office of the U.S. Dept of Labor Employee Benefits & Security Administration. They will pursue this very aggressively.

Alternatively, you may want to tell your employer that you will be contacting the Dept. of Labor if the company doesn't make all missing deposits immediately.
