Accounting, Payroll & Pension Issues/Changes to pay date

Question
Hi Ed

My company wants to change the day we receive our pay (from the 20th of the month to the 26th).

Can you tell me if this has any effect, immediate or otherwise? And should I agree or protest?

Thanks

Ken, Glasgow

Answer
I can't think of any reasons they should change and problems that you end up facing.

I'd ask why and if you have organized your bill paying around the old date, call the companies and see if they can change the due date to line up with the new one.

Good luck
