Please forgive me if outside your expertise.
I have little to no knowledge about Section 125 Cafeteria Plan Administration. In your opinion is it worth the time to learn so we can manage our own or should we have someone manage it for us.

This is outside my area of expertise. However I'll try to help.

I don't believe the cost of using an outside administrator will be that great. Check around. Make certain to check references from employers the same size as your company before you hire a consultant.

On the other hand, in my e-mail today was a notice from the Employee Benefits Institute of America about a web seminar on the basics of cafeteria plans. I don't know anything about this organization.
