Question
I need information on how I can locate a pension plan I paid into.  I have moved several times since leaving the company and I do not know where to begin.  Please help.

Answer
As far as I know, there are only two alternatives:

1. You can try to contact the plan administrator for the plan or the human resources department of the company. Hopefully, they can get you the information.

2. When you apply for Social Security benefits, the government will provide you with the names of any plans where you may be entitled to benefits and possible contact information. Unfortunately, I do not believe this is  available until then. But you may have some luck if you contact the Social Security Administration now.
