Question
My son will be 2 on Oct. 10th and I want to have an indoor/outdoor party for him on either the 11th or 18th  I want to rent a big bouncy play house. Do you think the weather will be suitable.  I live in Queens, NYC.

Answer
Julie,

The weather in October is generally nice, barring any tropical storm or hurricane. It is generally a drier time of year, although it still rains about every 3 or 4 days. Temperatures are cooling down at that time, but it can still be quite pleasant. Here are the normals and records...

October 11th:  Normal high 67, normal low 52. Record highs in the low 80s, record lows in the upper 30s.

October 18th:  Normal high 64, normal low 49. Record highs in the upper 70s, and record lows in the mid to upper 30s.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Dave Dombek
