Question
Ok, here goes another wedding weather ?  Historically what might I expect for a 6pm wedding with an outdoor cocktail hour?  Have tons of guest coming from S. CA and I'm worried that is may be too chilly , windy or rainy?  Only lived in PHL for 2 years so no real history with Oct. weather.  Thank you in advance.

Answer
Lisa,

As you know, it is WAY too far in advance to give you any detailed weather information for October 24th. However, I will be able to give you some climatology for that date. Here goes...

Normal high temperature: 63
Normal low temperature: 46
Record high temperature: 83, set in 2001
Record low temperature:  25, set in 1969
In late October, it generally rains about once every three or four days.
Something to keep in mind...on October 24th, the sun sets at 6:08 p.m. So, you better have lights for the outdoor cocktail party!

I hope this helped.

Sincerely,

Dave Dombek
