Question
Hi there I am getting married on August 22nd, 2009 I am hoping for an outdoor wedding, is this far fetched? How many days in advanced will I want to look for this day? I'm in Ottawa, Canada (Nepean region)

If you are checking out our forecast on AccuWeather.com, you can start checking the weather for your wedding date about 10 days away. However, I will guarantee you that the forecast will change almost every day, as new guidance comes in. Forecasts beyond a week typically are not really accurate. The closer you get, the more accurate the forecasts will become. By about two or three days out, our forecast should be pretty close, unless we are dealing with a very tricky weather situation. In that case, we probably won't have a really good handle on things until the day before.

Dave received his B.S. degree in meteorology from the Pennsylvania State University in May of 1980. Dave joined AccuWeather in July of 1980, beginning in the Snow Warning Service late that fall after his few month period of training.
