Question
We are planning a cruise in the mexican riveria during the later part of October.  A friend was saying that weather will be bad and ocean will be rough.  Is this correct?  I'd like to know the temperatures along the pacific coast from San Francisco down along the mexican coast.

Answer
Cindy,

Late October is still in hurricane season, but usually things are winding down by then. The peak of hurricane season occurs during the second week of September. If there is no tropical activity during your trip, it is a very nice time of year to be going on a cruise.

As for temperatures, you can generally expect fairly cool temperatures near San Fransisco, usually in the 60s, at that time of year. As you travel southward, the temperatures will increase into the 70s and eventually the 80s. These are the daytime temperatures.

I hope this helped.

Sincerely,
