Question
we are planning on having a half sheltered so still outside wedding and we were wondering if it would be better as far as rain and temperature to have the wedding september 23, 2010 or october 23, 2010 the reception will be around 5pm and located between fuquay varina, north carolina and lillington, north carolina off the neuse river.

Answer
Hi Jacqueline,

The normal high temperature on September 23rd is 75, with a normal low of 55. Record highs for that date are still in the low to mid 90s, while record low are in the 40s.
On October 23rd, the normal high is 63, and the normal low is 43. Records at that time are mid to upper 80s for highs, and mid to upper 30s for record lows.
One thing to consider is that the days are considerably shorter by October 23rd with an earlier sunset. The sun sets at about 7:07 p.m. on September 23rd, and about 6:28 p.m. on October 23rd.
I hope this helped.

Sincerely,
