Accuweather/Average Weather in Summer

Question
I am planning a family trip to Orlando next summer but I was curious what the average weather is like in the summer months.  What about the rain and hurricanes?  Humidity and temp aren't as big a deal as rain and hurricanes.  Can you help?

Answer
July and August tend to be the rainiest months of the year, with thunderstorms either occurring or in the vicinity many days. However, it usually doesn't rain for very long periods of time. When it does rain, though, it could come down briefly hard.
As for hurricanes, the later into the summer you go, the more likely it is to be affected by a hurricane or a tropical storm. From mid-August through the end of September is the peak of the hurricane season.
July and August are hot, humid months in Orlando, with normal highs in the low 90s and normal lows in the low to mid 70s.
I hope this helped.
