Question
We have reserved two different dates to cruise out of LA to Hawaii.  We have reseved mid November (14 days; four at sea going, and four at sea returning) AND mid December (again, 14 days; four at sea going, and four at sea returning.  We still have time to cancel one of these two reserved dates.. What time frame would be better,,,and should it be smooth sailing?  We have cruised many times out of San Diego AND LA south to Mexico,,and returning, the Paciffic had been rough from Cabo back to LA or San Diego...What can we expect?

Thanks for your time

Answer
Gary,

In general, the later into the fall and toward winter you get, the more likely it is that you will encounter storms out over the Pacific. That being said, if you go too early in the fall, then there is always the risk of a tropical storm or hurricane. However, if you weigh both options out, the November choice is probably better.

I hope this helped.

Sincerely,

Dave
