Mr. Dombek
I'm a studnet at the University of Pittsburgh and am writing an article for one of my classes on the wet and rainy summer the Pittsburgh area had. I was wondering if you would be able to ask a few questions which I've posted below, and also if you would be willing to give me a contact number (in case my professor wishes to fact check) and some personal background information to also include in the article. Thank you.
1. Could you explain why the east coast, specifically Pittsburgh, recieved so much rain this summer?
2. What can the summer's weather tell us about what type of weather we'll recieve this comming winter?
3. How has this summer compared to previous summers in precipitation?
4. Can more summers in the future be expected to have high than normal levels of precipitation.

I would much prefer to do this question over the phone, since it is quite involved.

Dave received his B.S. degree in meteorology from the Pennsylvania State University in May of 1980.
