Question QUESTION: Mr. Coleman;
I have a Morgan Monroe acoustic electric. I was wondering if you could give me any information about it. It is called "The Natural" and the model number is MDC-BK. It looks like a spurled maple top that is died black. The serial number is 10949. Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.
David V. Roy
ANSWER: David,
I have done some research on your guitar, and the only one I could find that is referred to as "The Natural" is a Korean made version. It had high ratings on the site I used. The guitar I found had a model number which was MND-1. It was discontinued, but sold for around $260. The body on this particular guitar was made entirely of African Rosewood. I hope I have helped you learn more about your guitar. I will continue to research it in hopes of finding one that fits the description and model number. If you would like to visit the site, it is...

I hope this has been helpful to you. Thank you for the good ratings. I should find more info on it a little later. Let me know if you find anything.

QUESTION: I may have forgot to mention, it is a cutaway version. I believe the Bubinga wood is probably right. It is hard to tell due to it being a see-thru Black finish.
Answer The one I saw was a standard drednaught shape. Bubinga and spurled maple do resemble one another through a see throuch finish like that. I will continue to do more research into it. I hope I can continue to help you find out more about your guitar. -Wes
