The WY-1-12 is the original Bob Weir (Folk) model. W stands for Weir, Y for Yairi. The 1 is just part of the model number, and the 12 means it's a 12 string model. I own the 6 string version with a model number of WY-1, and is from the Virtuoso Series.

They come with varying tonewoods, and each model number has an extension denoting the type of tonewood used on that model. For example, WY1 K Koa, WY1 BR (Brazilian Rosewood), etc.

Bluebook lists its value: Excellent = $900 to $1,000, Average = $575 to $675.
