Question
When my '74 sunburst Les Paul was stolen in Houston, I found this guitar in a
pawn shop. It sounds better all the time, rich warm  overtones. S# 56040191. I
really enjoy my Breedlove, but when I get out the Yairi, I fall in love with it all
over again. Is it just the sentimental thing, or is it a valuable guitar? ( it certainly
is to me!)

I'm going to need a lot more data to even start to help you.  Like a model number?  Made by Sadao (S. Yairi) Yairi or Kazuo Yairi?  Is that number you gave off the label or heelblock?

As always photo's are a big help, so if you can get good clear photo's of the front/back, front/back of headstock, label/rosette that would be great. If so, send to yairi_luvr@comcast.net

Alvarez/Alvarez Yairi, K. Yairi, S. Yairi, and Yairi and Son. There are also a few export models, Wilson and Samick by S. Yairi. NOTE: Due to very limited info available on K. Yairi, S. Yairi, and Yairi and Son models, without photo's I won't be able to do the research necessary to try and find the answers you want. Even then, we are talking about 50+ Years of guitar manufacturing, with hundreds of different models. A lot of which were exported to other countries, where info is even harder to find, so, I can't guarantee that I will be able to pinpoint your EXACT model! I will do my best to gather as much info, and answer your questions.
