QuestionQUESTION: We have (2) matching Alvares-Yairi DY60, both 1981, S#42168 & 42449.
They are matte finished w/ clear pick guards. Both are in very good condition - and other then the grain pattern on the heads are practically identical. We have not used them in over 10 years and are thinking of selling them. Could you give us a ball park of their possible value and/or point us to a place we could find out? Thanks!!
ANSWER: Hi there!
I would estimate these to be worth US$600 upto $1000 each
Thank!

QUESTION: Besides the question of someone's desire for this model, what would be the determining factor for the $400 range difference? Thanks!!
AnswerHi again Norman,
I would say condition - both cosmetic and playing, and originality. One on the higher end of the price range would be in close to mint conditional, fully original with no structural issue at all.
Cosmetic condition is a big one - you'll be surprised at the difference in value even one or two marks can make. If you can put it out there as "almost mint - no marks" you will get far more.
Hope this helps
Thanks
