Question
I have found an Alvarez 5034 dated 1976 in fantastic condition
with a Dean Markley Tahoe pick-up fitted. Can you give me an idea of what one of these is worth. Thank you.

Answer
It's worth about $300 give or take a hundred..The market is saturated with Alvarez, so they don't command much cash.. They are nice guitars, and sought after for being inexpensive and decent guitars..  They hold no real collector value... The Tahoe pickup was an after market item, and not original, and if it were to turn out that Alvarez guitars would start to become collectable, having that pickup would lower the value, not bring it up. That is a decent guitar, and a great player, just not worth much.. Chances are you could only sell it for $150-200 as it is..
