Question
I own a D-19 Martin I purchased in about new 1980.  I looked the S/N up on the Martin web-site and it showed it was built in 1977.  I came across a notation in a Magazine that showed Martin only ever made 30 of this Model.  I was surprised by that.   This guitar is part of my soul so I will never sell it but now I am interested in finding out more information on the model.  Do you know any other place I could go to get more information?

Answer
Interesting, I would Contact Martin directly...  They are the only ones that can give ANY information about it.. I do know it isn't even listed on their website.. And I can't say as I have ever played a D-19 or seen one.. So, I would contact them, they can give you more info on exactly how many were produced..  They can give you more detailed specs on your guitar as well.. Anyway, I hope that helps.. Martin is very easy to deal with. they have always responded quickly and given me any information I requested..
