Subject: Need help with I.D of parlor guitar

Question
It's 37 inches long, 12 5/8 at the lower bout, 9 1/8 at the upper. 181/4 total body length. Ladder braced spruce top with Blk/red/natural perfing around the body and sound hole. The back has a decal of some sort of ribbon pattern and is silver where the color is worn off. The back and sides look like a laminant.
The finish which has a very small cracked/checking pattern seems to be shellac because acetone does nothing to it. The tuner plates and gears are brass. The tuner knobs look to be replaced at some point.
Neil at Stella.com said it's not a stella, possibly a Lyon and Healy. I have found a Lakeside parlor guitar on the Chicago music exchange http://chicagomusicexchange.com which has the exact decal on the back. Could mine be the same Mfg.?

Would appreciate any help

Answer
Hey, I know I answered this one in the private email you sent me, but I thought others might be interested in it as well.. BTW, sorry for the delay, I was on Vacation and thought I had set this to vacation mode, but it looks like it didn't take... Anyway, Here is what I sent:
I'm sure it is the same manufacturer...  And both look to be manufactured by Lyon And Healy...  They made alot of the guitars for many retailers, and distributors.. So, you could literally find 50 of the exact same guitar, with 50 different names...  This is a great looking guitar...  I would get it back together, and use this as a serious player... This has some awesome looking wood...  I really wouldn't mess with re-finishing it, unless you really just want it to look different. But the finish it has now, is what adds character to the tone.. I would get a nice graphtech nut and bridge set for it, and replace the tuners with something heavier... anyway, that's just me talking
