Question
Hey James, I am an allexpert too! Yea so my Dad wants to learn how to play guitar, what book would you recommend to learn from? Thanks

Answer
Hey Greg,

Well, Nice to meet another AllExpert...  What subject do you cover? As for your dad, Mine also is a beginner guitar player, and he found was Absolute Beginner, Guitar Scales http://musicbooksplus.com/absolute-beginners-guitar-scales-p-4471.html

I also recommend the following websites: http://guitarnoise.com <-Lots of great beginner songs, with sound clips that will get him playing some songs he recognizes right away..
http://folkofthewood.com <-some great lessons on how to hold the guitar, tuning, scales, and also some songs to learn..

Both of those should keep him busy for a while... It is a good idea to get the book to, it makes it nice, because you can reference it whenever/wherever you want..

         Hope this helps..

                JimK
