Expert: James Koontz Date: 11/9/2007 Subject: Value of my Takamine 12 string
Question what is the value of my Takamine 12 string model # F385-LM, I think, it is hard to read the last two numbers
Answer Hi Tom,
I'll tell ya, I got allot of questions about value, as a matter of fact, most of the questions I get are about value.
I really can't give values as I can't see the guitar, and it needs to be inspected for structural problems, and such. I can merely tell you a basic figure based on recent sales. That being said, they are selling between $200 and $400 dollars. Most are closer to the $275 range. with a very few going up around $350 or higher. I haven't seen any recently going for more than $400. I have seen a few going for $175. and quite a few going for $225. No real criteria for the differences. Case or case doesn't matter, condition of course matters but good to mint didn't seem to matter, I saw some mint guitars that sold for less than some in just decent shape.
