Question I've got a 1973 garcia grade 1 with no serial number
and no other names on the label. how do I determine it's authenticity as there seem's so many reproductions with fasle label's claiming to true garcia guitars.
Answer I am unaware of anyone making fake Garcia guitars, But, the average value is going to be around $150-$200 if it is in great shape. If you could send me some pictures(email them to guitaranswerman@jkoontz.com), I could tell you if I think the label is authentic, but it isn't hard to fake a label. The only thing I know about is that there is the Federico Garcia Guitar, and then there is the Garcia guitar. The Garcia guitar is worth about $150-$200, the Federico Garcia is worth about $800. 2 different guitar companies, not fakes, but different guitar company.
