Question
I found an old parlor size six string at a garage sale.  The sticker is missing but the name on the headstock is "Stadium" and there's a stamp in the sound hole that reads "made in Holland".  Any idea what the brand name would be?

Answer
The Stadium, was a Egmond guitar. I actually just saw one of these on Ebay recently...  Here is the link, does yours look something like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-EGMOND-GUITAR-STADIUM-HOLLAND-MUST-SEE_W0QQitemZ1101...

Egmond guitars was the Euroopean equivalant of Fender. Very many around, and some could be had fairly reasonable used. As a collector guitar, the acoustics sometimes go pretty decent, but it's hard to find decent ones that aren't everywhere.. Similar to Fender, the older electrics, in great shape really can bring some decent cash as well, but hard to find.As you can see, this one sold for $14.00 that is about all they end up going for mosts of the time. I did see one that was fairly rare, and it sold for $500..i saw an electric that went for $3000.00 which freaked me out. but, I think if you clean it up, and play it, you will find it an anjoyable instrument...  Hope this helps..
