Acoustic Neuroma/Use of TransEar after Radiosurgery

Question
I am 62 year old male with 1cm AN in left ear, just treated with single-dose Novalis radiosurgery 2 months ago.  Prior to treatment, I had used the "TransEar" device with some success (better than other hearing aids tried).  Post radiation, I am wondering if the vibration of the TransEar so close to the treated tumor may excite the tumor in some way so as to make it grow (or grow faster) than it would without using the TransEar.  Your opinion will be appreciated.

Answer
The vibration of the device is purely mechanical, and cannot affect the progress of the tumor as it dies after treatment. However, you may want to bring this up with your radiosurgeon and your hearing aid specialists the next time you see them, in case there are other concerns involved. By the way, I am planning to get a TransEar device myself -- where did you get yours and did insurance pay for it?
