Question
Hi,
I am planning on having Gamma Knife on May 6th,2009. I am just seeing if you have ever heard of any feedbacks from Troy Beaumont Hospital Gamma Knife Center in Michigan. My Doctors are Dr. Bojarab and Dr. Chen. My tumor is small 10mm.I have notice more noise in my hear recently. So I think I should have this.Is it true it might turn in to cancer after a period of 5-10 yrs. span? I am kind of  scared. Please let me know what you think. I am 52 years old and in good health beside perimenopausal, but that is a different story.Ha...Thank you. Judy

Answer
Gamma Knife has been around for several decades and is a proven method of AN treatment. It does not increase your chance of having your AN turn to cancer, compared to what your chances are for developing a cancer in your ear independently of anything.  Good luck!
