Question
QUESTION: Hi, My name is Kalynn and I am a high school senior. I am a second soprano and I can also be an alto. I was wondering if you could name a few songs for my range because I am always trying out for different things. I would be extremely grateful, thanks!

ANSWER: What style of music are you interested in?  Musical theatre?  Opera/classical?
There is so much out there if you can specify what you are interested in I could help you out a bit more.

QUESTION: I'm more towards musical theatre- Broadway selections. I am in our high school trio, several choirs and I would love to try out for some of my towns musicals.

Answer
Go to your local music store or amazon.com and purchase The Singer's Musical Theatre Anthology (soprano) versions.
You may also find it at your library.

I highly recommend it as a valuable investment for anyone who is going to be doing musical theatre.  I own all the soprano volumes myself.

Play around with the pieces in the anthology.  Find something that suits your voice and that makes you feel confident.  Practice!

It is hard to recommend a specific song without ever having heard you sing.  I would check out the anthologies and find one there.  Once you find something let me know what you pick and if you want audition tips.

Good luck!!
