Subject: Into the Woods Audition
Question Hi I'm Evan and I'm 14 years old. In a few weeks I'll be auditioning for Into the Woods, and I need help finding audition songs. We need three songs: a ballad, an uptempo song, and a parody. I'm auditioning for the role of Jack. Do you have any suggestions for songs that fit Jack's character and the requirements. I'm a tenor, and my range is: A(two below middle C)-G(right above middle C) (that note is sometimes hard to reach but I ususally can hit it). Thanks a lot!!
Answer Hi Evan!
Nice name by the way! :)
For the ballad, I would recommend a bit from "God Bless the Broken Road." For the uptempo, I would recommend "Run, Freedom, Run" from the show "Urinetown." For the parody, I would recommend something comical from "Spamalot." I hope this helps. By the way, three songs seems like quite a load for an audition! Might I ask what kind of audition this is? Good Luck!
Best Wishes!
Evan
