Question
I am a venezuelan man suffering from a troat pain after talcking for an hour. According to a freind of mine it is due the a lack of relaxation whaen i am talking. I dring warm water, but anyways it aches.
thanks for you kind help-
aurax

Answer
Hi Aurax...And thanks for writing.

It sounds to me like you are using more of your throat to talk than your  breath.  When you speak, pay attention to how deeply you are breathing.  Is your breath coming from chest or is it coming from your belly?  The more belly breathing you do to support your talking, the better you will do.  And your vocal cords will not work as hard.

For the ache, do you have any lemon and honey in your house?  If you can drink hot lemon and honey for a while, it should take the ache away.

Does that help you?

Wanda
