Question
Dear Wanda:
I would like you to teach me some technic to keep my throat and tongue relaxed while I am talking, and at the same time controlling the stream of air from my belly to my head to produce resonance. When I tacked you about the "mask" I meant the face, you know the internal head holes that produce resonance.
Thanks for your help, I love you from Caracas.

Answer
Hi Aurax...Thanks for writing and explaining.

It sounds to me like you might not be supporting your talking with breath.  So that is where I would like you to start - learning to breathe properly.

Try this exercise and see if it helps:

Put your hand on your belly.  Breathe in through your nose and fill your belly (take in air until you cannot take in any more).  Then, open your mouth and create an "ah" sound.  Gently and evenly and slowly push the air out with your diaphragm (belly).  While doing that, change the place in your body where the sound resonates - head then to nose then to chest then back to head.  If you have good resonance, you should be able to feel a buzz or a tickle feeling.

When you are talking, try to breathe the same way - deeply and use the same support as in the exercise.

To relax the throat and tongue, the best way to do that is to support with breath and not push hard your voice.  This exercise should help that as well.

Try to do this exercise 3-5 times a day.

Does this help?
